Dublin clubs had mixed results in the AIB Leinster Club Senior, Intermediate and Junior Hurling Championship over the weekend.
Dublin, Leinster and All All-Ireland Champs Na Fianna lost a great game in Wexford Park - Na Fianna 2-17 - Martins 1-21
It was a real winter hurling game with loads of rucks and tough challenges let go by the referee but which was played in a great spirit. We predicted that it would be a tough one for Na Fianna as there was only a 4 point difference when these two sides met last year and thats how it turned out. Martins earning a hard fought 1 point win in Wexford Park.
Commiserations to Na Fianna, but they gave it everything it just wasn't to be. They've been on the go for awhile no so a rest will do them no hard at all. And it might work out better for theDublin management as they'll have more access to the Na Fianna contingent in the early part of 2026.
After their pretty convincing Dublin Premier Intermediate win, Commercials were the only Dublin club to progress this weekend with a strong Commercials 3-19 v Naomh Brid (Carlow) 0-12 win on Saturday afternoon. The scoreline might flatter Commercial a little As Naomh Brid hit the crossbar twice from play but Commercial ran the beach towards the end of the game.
