Round one of the AHL1 throw in this weekend, here's our preview of the games on Sunday
Pairc Uí Murchú, 10:30
A decent opener for Boden at home, who will be keen to get off to a winning start after a disappointing league campaign last year. Jude's will be no pushovers though, they finished above Boden in the league in 2024 and Callum Graham is a real handful. Boden should have enough at home, but Jude's will make them work for it.
ResDubs Tip - Boden by 3
Clonshaugh, 10:30
As tough a draw as Craobh could have got in round one. Fresh from promotion, they come up against the reigning league champions straight away. Crokes will be missing plenty with Dublin, but they have the panel to cope with it better than most. A real test of where Craobh are at, and one where the returning Newton and others will need to stand up and be counted.
ResDubs Tip - Crokes by 5+
Mobhi Road, 10:30
County champions Na Fianna open at home against a Faughs side who only just stayed up last year. Even without some of their county players, Na Fianna should have far too much here. One for Faughs to use as a learning exercise and see where the younger lads are at.
ResDubs Tip - Na Fianna by 5+
Pairc Barróg, 10:30
A tough assignment for Barróg at home to Lucan, who will be one of the fancied sides for the league title. Barróg will be without Doyle and Gallagher on county duty, which is a real blow. Lucan should win this, but Barróg showed last year they are well capable of mixing it with the better teams.
ResDubs Tip - Lucan by 5+
Russell Park, 10:30
Probably the most evenly matched game of the round. Brigid's finished 5th in the league last year, Cuala 3rd, so there is not a whole lot between them on paper. Cuala will be without Groarke, which matters, but they have enough quality to be competitive here. Should be a good game.
ResDubs Tip - Cuala by 2
Pairc Na Uinsionn, 10:30
Interesting fixture to close out the round. Vinnies had a tough enough league last year but went well in the championship. With Hedigo away on county duty, the question marks around their forward line remain. For Castleknock, this is exactly the kind of game that will tell us whether they are ready to hold their own at this level. They have the forwards to trouble anyone on their day, but Vinnies at home is a big ask.
ResDubs Tip - hard to know - i think Castleknock might do okay here Caskleknock by 2

ResDubs Tip - Boden by 3
After a poor league last year, Boden will be glad to get a glut of goals to win this one by more then expected - Judes will be a little worried by the concession of 4 goals, and not running up a very big total themselves.
The local derby between Ballyboden St Enda’s and St Jude’s at Páirc Uí Mhurchú saw the hosts prevail by 4-16 to 1-13 with goals from Darragh Kenny, Kevin Byrne, James Norris and Fiachra Codd cementing Boden’s dominance.

ResDubs Tip - Na Fianna by 5+
Really tough first outing for Faughs, and they nearly managed to pull off a result, losing by the narrowest of margins. Will be worried about the concession of 5 goals, but happy to get 25 scores themselves.
DCB Report says - so NAF have AJ and Tom Brennan back, and it looks like Tierny is back with them this year, another big player to bring back in.
There was another thrilling finish at St Mobhi Road as Na Fianna did just enough to see off a battling Faughs by 5-17 to 3-22.
Goals proved key for the County Champions with a brace from Shane Barrett augmented by further green flags courtesy of John Tierney, Tom Brennan and AJ Murphy.

ResDubs Tip - Lucan by 5+
Like Faughs, NB will be glad to have pushed one of the top teams to such a close run game, which bodes well for the rest of the league. 20 scores each is good going. I'm assuming NB had Gallagher, and I heard Paddy Doyle lined out for them.

ResDubs Tip - Cuala by 2
Good win for Cuala here in a game i expected to be close and they finished 3rd and 5th in the league and both made the SHC1 play offs, Cuala of course pushing NaF to Extra time in that epic Quarter-Final but are without Conor Groarke, and of course, Brigids down their star forward and Andrew Dunphy, but still a very good team.
Reports says:
The 2026 Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Adult Hurling Leagues commenced on Sunday morning with Cuala getting their Division 1 campaign off to a positive start when accounting for St Brigid’s by 0-23 to 0-19 at Russell Park.
The visitors were solid at the back throughout with Diarmuid Ó Floinn and Stephen Roche impressing while George O’Toole excelled at midfield in addition to chipping in with three points.
Donal O’Shea top scored with 0-8, including five points from placed balls, and his efforts and two points apiece by Liam Murphy and Conall O’Toole saw Cuala over the line.

ResDubs Tip - hard to know - i think Castleknock might do okay here Caskleknock by 2
Another really close game, seems like this league is going to be super competitive, even if ultimately the top few pull away, but a very credible performance here by the newly promoted Castleknock.
DCB report says:
Matters were even tighter at Páirc Naomh Uinsionn as St Vincent’s pipped newly promoted Castleknock by 3-16 to 2-17.
The visitors led by seven points by the end of the first quarter but Vinnies played their way back into contention through a Tom Connolly goal.
Connolly also added a number of points from frees as the hosts edged home courtesy of 1-2 from Oisin Mulcahy, 0-4 by Mark Sweeney and three points from play from Brian Bolger.
