Our Posters have picked their Blue Stars Hurling team of the year for 2025.
The Blue Stars is a selection of the stand out players from the Dublin Senior 1 Hurling Champsionship in 2025.
It's really just a bit of fun - I wonder how they would get on against a Dublin 15?

The Team Selected are:
Cuala
A quality goal keeper in a county with several very good Goalkeepers - Sean just about pipped Johno Tracy to the Blue Stars pick.
Lucan Sarsfields
John Bellew is really one of the toughest and tightest markers in Dublin these days. Always on the opposition danger-man, and he is a tough man to get away from.
Na Fianna
Not dissimilar to John Bellew above, Conor is a tight and tough marker who can't be easily shaken. Tough and tenacious, and can get forward when it's on as well.
Cuala
Had a brilliant season with the Dublin U20s and was deservingly selected as the Friends of Dublin Hurling Young Player of the Year, in my opinion. Very quick and tenacious player, like the two lads above, he loves to get forward, in fact, not sure he was playing in the full-back line all the time, as he was seen up the pitch so often. Has a big future ahead of him if he fancies it.
Lucan Sarsfields
Chris needs no introduction at this stage, defensively tough and lives to get forward and take on a long-range score.
Na Fianna
Likewise, Liam doesn't need any introduction really, reads the game so well these days and dominates his area when he gets going.
St.Vincents
Conor Burke makes up a very experienced, if not the quickest, half-back line in the country! :)
Na Fianna
Brian was rested or away for the group stages, but his influence on the scoreboard basically won Na Fianna the county final.
Kilmacud Crokes
He was the Young Player of the Year last year; his pace and ability around the middle third are such a weapon for Crokes. Another with a bright future with the Dubs if he wants it.
Na Fianna
Sean is playing brilliant hurling these days. He always had the skillset, but is really playing with maturity and confidence now. He was everywhere in the game against Cuala when everything was going wrong for Na Fianna, really pulled that game out of the fire. And scored the winner in the county Final.
Lucan Sarsfields
One of Lucan's key men in an agonisingly close loss in the county final, without him, they can struggle for scores at times. Very accurate on the frees as well.
Lucan Sarsfields
Greta to see young Keher start to play consistently well for Lucan Seniors now, had a brilliant game in the final and was one of the reasons Lucan came so close to Na Fianna.
Na Fianna
What more can you say about AJ? Sometimes you think AJ's had a quiet day, and he finishes the game with 1-02. Always working and chasing down defenders/goalkeepers and making a general nuisance of himself. But love to watch the classic AJ run onto a diagonal ball and score over the shoulder.
St.Brigids
Cian was electric this year, winning an All-Star and our player of the year vote as well as the FODH hurler of the year award. We always felt he had the ability and just needed a break on the injury front to drive on. He got that this year, and what a difference it has made. Hopefully, plenty more to come.
St.Vincents
Hedgo has had a great year, such a great target man, but as he showed with Dublin this year, he's much, much more than just an out-ball target. Great hands and a powerful shot on him as well.
