A huge congratulations to Cian O'Sullivan for winning his all Star award and also being named hurler of the year by "Friends of Dublin Hurling" and he might even land the coveted inaugural "ResDubs hurler of the year" award for the hat-trick!

The all Star is well deserved as he finished the 2025 Championship as joint top scorer from play, racking up 5-22 — level with Tipperary’s John McGrath, who hit 7-16.

Here's his goal v Limerick in that famous win

All Star team 2025

Cian becomes Dublin hurling’s eighth ever All-Star winner, joining an elite group that includes Mick Bermingham (1971), Brian McMahon (1990), Alan McCrabbe (2011), Gary Maguire (2011), Liam Rushe (2011, 2013), Peter Kelly (2013) and Danny Sutcliffe (2013).

Cian also won the Friends of Dublin Hurling Player of the Year Award:

In their remarks about Cian FODH said:

Cian O'Sullivan has come a long way from his early school days in St.Brigid's Primary School, Castleknock.  He went to Belvedere College for his secondary education and during that time he played for Dublin North Colleges from 2014 – 2016. A member of St. Brigids GAA Club he first hit the intercounty scene with the
minor hurlers winning a Leinster Minor Hurling Championship medal in 2016. He played U21 before making his senior debut in 2017. Back in those days Cian played at centre back. His reinvention as a forward came as a result of a chat with former Dublin Manager Ger Cunningham before a Walsh Cup game. Ger was going to play him at corner back, but Cian said" I never played at corner back, I play corner forward!"
He studied Geology at Coláiste na Trínóide where he hit fame one day! He sliced a sideline ball from the 45 line over the bar. It went viral. From there he was selected for the Dublin senior panel where this year he hit another jackpot by becoming the top scorer in the Championship, scoring a total of 5-22 in 8 championship games.

They will name their Young Player of the year next year - Conor Grourke, Brendan Kenny, David Lucey, Conal O'Riain and Ollie Gaffney must be in the running?
