Absolutely pivotal game in terms of pushing for promotion.

Wexford are 2–0, but in both games they needed late scores to get over the line against Antrim and Down.

Lee Chin is likely to be back for this one, which would have a big impact for Wexford.

You’d also hope we might have a few lads returning. Seán Currie and a few others have been conspicuous by their absence so far.

Hopefully Gaffney will be back in time too. I think we need to get a few league games into him.

With UCD finished up, I’m hoping their contingent can continue to integrate into the side as well. I only caught one of Conal’s two scores against Kildare, and it was a beauty. DOD set Hayes up with a great pass for his second goal, zipped right to him at the perfect height. Good to see after he fluffed a pass to Donal the week before for a goal chance. He had another chance as well, so he’s starting to look like he could click at this level.

I think he, and lads like Dara Purcell, will go even better in Croke Park.

If we can get everyone fit, we’ll have a few selection headaches in the forwards, and that’s no bad thing at all.
