The Minor B Hurling Championships 2025 have reached the Semi-Final stage.

The Quarter-Final results were as follows:

Big win for Trinity Gaels as both teams had come through the group stage narroly enough on 2-1

Very good win for Mearnog over an O'Toole that had a 3-0 record in the group stage

A convincing win for Maurs, who had finished the group 3-0 although they were given a WO in R2 by a Barrog who shouldn't have been Playing B grade.

Fingallians with a 1 point win over Skerries, again both came through the group stages on 2-1 in this very competitive champsionship.

The Semi-Finals

Fingallians v Mearnog

Fingallians come into this after their 1 point win in the quarter finals, sometimes that help battle harden a team, whereas Mearnog had a very good win over a 3-0 O'Tooles, so will be full of confidence. Should be a cracker.

Verdict - not going to try to call it - draw?

Trinity Gaels v St.Maurs

Trinity will be confident after their good win on the 1/4 finals over RTC, but Maurs also had a good win over Peregrines/Garda.

Verdict - No idea, this competition has been so competitive it's hard to judge anything from results, it'll depend who goes better on the day.

Semi-Finals

Semi-Final Results:

  • Trinity Gaels 2-17 - Maurs 2-11
  • Fingallians 3-13 - Mearnog 2-14

Impressive win and score run up by Trinity, all the more impressive as they're missing one of their best forwards with injury.

A good win for Fingallians by a narrow margin, sounds like it was a very good game.

The Final

The Final of the Minor B Hurling champsionship takes place this Sunday November 16th at 11.00 am

Trinity Gaels v Fingallians

Trinity are going for the double of football and hurling wins, which would be some achievement.

The Final should be close, but i always feel a team scoring 19 scores in consecutive games is going well, although it might be down to them not facing as tough opposition as Fingallians have faces - we'll find out Sunday.

Verdict - Trinity to edge it by 3?

Best of luck to everyone involved! 💪

Trinity Gaels 1-17 - Fingallians 1-13

That's a football and Hurling double for Trinity! Some going!

Match report from the Dublin County Board:

Trinity Gaels delivered a superb team display when overcoming a battling Fingallians by 1-17 to 1-13 in their Go-Ahead Ireland Dublin Minor ‘B’ Hurling Championship final in Drumnigh on Sunday morning.
Having won the MFC ‘C’ title a week previously, the victory secured a noteworthy double for the Donaghmede outfit as they clawed their way back after the break having trailed by 1-5 to 0-6 at half-time.
Fingallians availed of the wind at their backs in that opening-half with 1-1 by Cian Rothwell augmented by four Lachlann Hayward frees and an Oscar Brennan point.
The hosts wasted little time in overturning their deficit thanks to a trio of unanswered points from Alex Ryan and a Corey Kelly goal maintained their momentum as the contest evolved.
Despite missing the injured Dublin minor Cathal Barrett, Gaels continued to control matters as Senan Russell clipped over six points with the likes of Trey Hoey, Jack Conroy, Rian Ó Héalaí, Oliver O’Driscoll and Darragh Kinsella all making significant contributions over the hour.
The influential Hayward continued to keep the Fins scoreboard ticking over from placed balls in the second-half but his efforts and those of Rory McGrath, Eoin McCarthy, Matthew Smith, Conor O’Reilly and Andrew Clark proved in vain by the final whistle.
