The groups are starting to take shape now, ahead of this weekend's round 4. Here's the Dublin SHC1 - 2025 - Round 4 Preview. Read up on our mid-group report for each club here.

Group 1

Group one is kind of split between the big 3 and the up-and-coming teams. This weekend's fixtures pit the big three against the smaller 3, where the outcome of the games is more predictable then usual, baring a major shock.

NAFIANNA v CRAOBH

Na Fianna had a fright against Boden last week but managed to hang in there and get the win, without 3 of the best forwards in the county, which is ominous for the rest of the county - but there's no guarantee the lads will be back, and without them, the bigger clubs will fancy their chances.

But not this weekend, unfortunately for them, Crobh are finding the going difficult here. They've been on the wrong end of a couple of heavy defeats from the two clubs they'd have been targeting results from. If NAF have the lads back this could be a heavy one and then Boden in R5.

TT - NAF by 10+ more if they have the big guns back.

-----------------------------

JUDES V BODEN

Judes have had a solid year, but finding the big teams are just the step above where they are currently. Boden likely to repeat that dose here. They ran NAF close in the last round but then NAF were withotu Currie, AJ and Donal, so that doesn't mean much really. Gleeson and McMorrow form a dangerous FF line.

TT - Boden by 6+

-----------------------------

BARROG v LUCAN

Again, Barrog are improving but the big clubs are just that step too far ahead, heavy loses to Boden and NAF are not slight on a club build as they are. This will likely be similar, the last round v Judes is the key to who nabs that 4th knockout spot and who goes into the relegation dogfight.

Lucan are ticking along nicely, good wins over judes, Boden, snd Croabh to date - last round will be a dress rehearsal for the knockout stages v NAF - then the real stuff starts.

TT - Lucan by 8+

-----------------------------

GROUP 2:

Group two is a lot less clear, with everyone still fighting for knockout stages - even OPER still have a fighting chance - although that narrow loss to Whitehall might prove to be crucial, they have Brigids and Cuala still to play.

BRIGIDS V VINCENTS

That one-point loss to Cuala last round threatens to derail what had been a very good year so far for Brigids, now they're fighting for their knockout showdown against a goal-hungry Vincents, who are coming into this after a poor enough loss to Crokes, poor in the manner of it (15 scores to 25) but they created goals chances in that game and have scored 10 in the three games to date.

TT - Vincents, if Brigids can keep a clean sheet, they'll be there or thereabouts.

-----------------------------

CROKES V WHITEHALL

Whitehall are very competitive with their dual players back, good wins over Cuala and OPER, but lost reasonably heavily to Brigids. Crokes are ticking along nicely, hitting 23+ scores in every game so far, play the ball around really nicely. Down a few good players still which could hurst them in the knockout stages unless they get them back.

TT - Crokes by 5+

-----------------------------

OPER V CUALA

Crucial game for these two, both need the points to keep their knockout hopes alive - shoul dbe a cracker. Cuala started the group really badly but now have Liam Murphy and Con back, and even David Tracy and Cian O'Callaghan. OPER had a nightmare start to the group Vincents first and then Crokes, while missing a few. Have the lads back and lost narrowly to Whitehall, need the point here to keep play of hopes alive, also finishing 5th could be key to staying up as Craobh look the weakest in team in SHC1.

TT - Cuala with Con are a different proposition - by 4
