Group One

Group one of the SHC2 finished like this

Group one was very competitive, with only 2 points separating the top 4 sides, Raheny really took off when they got Liam Dunne back from Australia, they ran up some big ol'scores when he got back up to speed.

Erins Isle had been motoring until the last round, when they had something of a bit of a collective brain fart, getting 3 red cards and losing their last group game. Clontarf will be disappointed with their performance in the group stage, they had been building well the last few years, not sure what went wrong for them this year, injuries or lads away maybe? Whatever it was, they'll be hoping to regroup next year. If you know the story let us know over on the forum.

Group 2 Like this:

Faughs were consistent right through the group, albeit they had a few narrow enough wins but they emerged 5 for 0, so you can't say fairer then that. Everyone else was taking points off each other, Castleknock seemed to run up some big scores, Naomh Mearnog were very competitive. Thomas Davis lost a few games by a very narrow scoreline, as you can tell from a 2-3 record and only a -1 points difference.

The Relegation Play off were:

Leading to Fingallians and Na Fianna being demoted for 2026.

Fingallians had a bit of a horrible year, after a few years in a row of promotions, possibly missing lads - I don't know exactly, but they'll look to regroup next year in PIHC.

Quarter-Finals

The Quarter-Finals played out like this:

The surprise result from those for me was BBSE Bs beating Castleknock, i expected Castleknock to get more then 17 scores in that one.

Raheny were scoring goals for fun with Liam Dunne back. Faugh's had their typical "good win without blowing the opposition away" result but BSJ had been improving as the competition went on, so it was still a good result.

Erins Isle with a surprisingly comfortable result v Mearnog who I thought would push them closer.

Semi-Finals

The Semi-Finals played out like this:

Faugh with a good win v Raheny, Isles had a nightmare first half v Boden conceding 3 goals and were well down at HT. Then lost someone to a red at the start of the second half but even so they nearly managed a comeback, falling just short to setup a Faughs v Boden final.

Becasue Boden already have a team in the SHC1 - there needed to be a promoation play off between the two beaten semi-finalists.
