Power ranking - league and notable Champsionship performances last year:
A massive statement from St. Syls. Having dropped down from AFL1 and SFC1 last year, they showed they are intent on a quick return to the top flight. Scoil, who finished 5th in the league and reached the SFC2 quarter-finals last season, were simply unable to contain them.
Match Highlights:Sean Guiden was the standout performer, racking up 1-13. He had plenty of help in attack from Ross Keogh, Sean Burke, and Rory Guiden. Stephen Cunningham and Páidí White controlled the midfield battle, while Pierce Donohoe added a third goal from the bench.

Newly promoted St. Maur's pulled off a gritty away win at Dolphin Park. TSS finished 6th last year and looked to be in control with a three-point lead entering the final ten minutes, but the Rush men stayed patient and struck late.
Always interesting to see how a promoted team gets on v a mid-table team from their new division.
Match Highlights: Maur's finished the stronger of the two sides in a cagey encounter. A late flurry of points and goals from Jack Burke, Kevin Nugent, and Harry Doyle secured the comeback win for the visitors.
-------------------
Ravens showed the quality that had them in AFL1 last season with a strong first-half display in Stepaside. They took the points against an Olaf’s side that finished 10th in the league last year and suffered relegation in the Championship.
Match Highlights: Ravens’ defense was anchored by Jake Donnelly, Callum Monaghan, and Daire O’Rourke. Midfielders Sam Hannigan and Dylan Kettle provided the platform for Niall Daly, Sean Kinsella, and Jake Pope to lead the scoring. Substitute Luke Griffin came on to hit the insurance point.
-------------------
The Isles continue their momentum from last year’s promotion and SFC2 semi-final run.
Their goal-scoring threat was the difference against a Barróg side that had a solid 7th-place league finish last season.
-------------------
A tough day for Plunkett’s, who were SFC2 runners-up and recently relegated from the top flight (14th in AFL1).
Fingallians, who finished 9th last year, utilized home advantage at Lawless Park to secure a hard-fought win.
-------------------
Brigid’s were clinical, showing why they were the highest-ranked non-relegated team in this list (4th). They proved far too strong for the Crokes second string, who finished 12th in the division last year.
-------------------
A very evenly matched encounter. Clanna Gael, coming up from AFL3 after a strong SFC2 quarter-final run, will be pleased with an away draw against a Whitehall side that finished 11th in AFL2 last season.

Postponed due to the weather.
